One book that I have read many times is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. The book is a classic American novel that tells the story of a young girl named Scout Finch growing up in a small Southern town during the 1930s.

 

The book deals with themes of racism, prejudice, and injustice, as Scout's father, a lawyer named Atticus Finch, defends a black man who has been wrongly accused of a crime. Through Scout's eyes, we see the complexities of the town's social order and the challenges of standing up for what is right in the face of opposition.

 

I have engaged with this masterpiece at least five times, embarking on my exploration during my high school years and seamlessly transitioning into my adulthood. I read it because I find it to be a powerful and thought-provoking story that raises important questions about morality and ethics. I also appreciate the book's vivid and detailed portrayal of life in the American South during a turbulent time in history.

 

The book has had a significant effect on me, both as a reader and as a person. It has instilled in me invaluable lessons concerning empathy, justice, and fortitude, kindling within me a commitment to appraise the world through a discerning lens. It has also introduced me to the power of literature and storytelling to provoke thought and inspire change.

 

In conclusion, "To Kill a Mockingbird" holds an indelible place within my heart, a literary gem I anticipate revisiting time and again in the years to unfold.

Một cuốn sách mà tôi đã đọc nhiều lần là “Giết con chim nhại” của Harper Lee. Cuốn sách là một cuốn tiểu thuyết kinh điển của Mỹ kể về câu chuyện của một cô gái trẻ tên Scout Finch lớn lên ở một thị trấn nhỏ phía Nam vào những năm 1930.

What kinds of books do children like to read? Why?

Well actually I am not sure but I guess the most favorite type of book for children would probably be fictional tales, particularly those involving unicorns or wizards. These books allow them to enter a fantastic realm where anything is possible, which captivates their young minds, sparking curiosity and encouraging a love for reading.

 

What can kids learn from books?

Clearly, there are a number of obvious merits that kids can gain from reading books. First, books have the power to stimulate imagination which helps youngsters possess the ability to think outside of the box. At the same time, these literary treasures offer a wealth of knowledge across diverse subjects, broadening children’s horizons and expanding awareness of the world around them.

 

Do people prefer to read ebooks or printed books in your country?

I suppose the answer would be determined by personal preferences. Most youngsters opt for ebooks which can be easily carried around and do not take up so much space to store. However, many people, especially the elderly find solace in the familiarity of paper materials, relishing the scent of books and the feeling of flipping through pages. 

 

Do you think people need to develop the habit of reading? Why?

Definitely, there is no doubt about it at all because this habit can bring many benefits to readers. Cultivating reading habits enhance people's knowledge and language skills. When facing challenges or problems, I usually turn to a well-chosen book that can provide guidance, and perspective needed to tackle those issues more effectively. Moreover, this habit instills a lifelong love of learning and provides a valuable source of entertainment.

 

Do you think reading books can make people happier?

Many individuals, like myself, find relaxation and happiness in reading books. Books have the power to transport readers to different worlds, allowing them to escape from the stresses of everyday life and immerse themselves in captivating stories or information. Not only that, books often contain valuable insights and solutions to various life problems which can bring a sense of fulfillment and relief for readers. 

 

Do you think ebooks will make people read more? Why?

With electronic devices being readily available, individuals often have access to ebooks at their fingertips. Additionally, the interactive features of ebooks, such as multimedia content and the ability to engage with the text in various ways, can make the reading experience more intriguing and engaging, often turning ebooks into real page-turners that capture the reader's interest and encourage them to read more.
